Patients with private health insurance please contact their health insurer first to clarify the coverage of costs.
If you would like to take advantage of optional extras such as accommodation in a single or twin bedroom or treatment by the medical director, please inform us upon registration at the reception. You can find further information on this topic under "Optional extras".

On the day of admission, please contact our staff at the patient admission desk. After admission, we will tell you in which ward you will be staying and give you directions to get there. In the ward, please inform a nurse that you have arrived. He will conduct an admission interview with you, take the examination results you have brought with you and show you your room. He will also explain the procedures in the ward to you, for example the time of the ward round and meal times.
The responsible doctor will conduct an initial interview with you and will examine you. You can help him by explaining any current discomforts you may have and medications you are currently taking. He will then develop a first treatment and examination plan customised to you.
Visits from relatives and friends will support you recovery process. You can welcome visitors between 2 pm and 8 pm. We understand that it is not always possible to keep to these times. Thus, please let us know if you need to make an exception.
Please be considerate of other patients, if they feel disturbed by your visitors. You and your visitors are welcome to use the common room or take a walk through our gardens. However, please do not forget to inform the nurses when leaving the ward.

The attending doctor will receive a detailed report as well as all examination results soon after your discharge. When leaving the KFN, please do not forget to pay the supplement of 10 Euros per calendar day with the staff at the patient admission desk or at the gate. If you opted for direct debit, this will not apply to you.
If you need help after you discharge, you can contact the social services or our nurses for advice.
The correct diet is essential for the treatment as well as prevention of illnesses. Our head chef Joachim Heinze has an additional qualification as whole food chef as well as dietetically trained chef, health trainer for nutrition and fasting supervisor. Under his management, our chefs prepare modern Mediterranean whole foods with products of predominately organic origin.
Depending on the illness pattern, special dietary forms such as therapeutic fasting, diet of raw fruit and vegetables or a potato diet with anti-inflammatory, water draining and pain reducing effects are possible. If desired, you can also have a purely vegetarian diet.
We inform you in presentations on nutrition and individual diet consultation so that you can work on a long-term success of the therapy after your discharge.
